Phi Alpha Nu (PAN) currently recognizes ONLY one type of membership, regular membership.

A potential member of PAN may join the Fraternity in an area where there is no active colony or chapter.

All membership processes shall conform to the same rules and regulations set by the Constitution, By-laws and Regulations of the Fraternity. No process may contain activities forbidden by the laws of the Fraternity, or local, state, and federal government.

Individual members of Phi Alpha Nu do not have the right or privilege to initiate potential members, on their own, nor are colonies or chapters granted the privilege to do the same without the consent of the Supreme Office of the Director of Membership.
